who post to this forum for educating us newbies. Now to the business at hand.
I have been using a small local ISP for over a year now they don't have all the bells and whistles as the other providers
like AOL but they do have a spam filter. The thing I like about them is that
they let you set your filter settings and once a week they send me an email
to let me know how many spam messages their filters caught with the link so I can read them or check for messages that may have been accidentally caught.
Are the larger ISP's doing this? Is it feasible for them to do this?My thought about opt-in confirmation and 30% loss of subscribers.
First I have to say I am fairly new to internet marketing. I haven't built a website (it is under construction),I haven't even made any money yet so this is just my opinion.
The way I look at the 30% loss is good. If that person couldn't take the time to click on a confirmation link then did they truely want to subscribe to your newsletter. In my opinion the people who confirmed would be more likely to read your newsletter and be more responsive to your campaigns. Wouldn't that make your list more valuable if you were to sell advertising?
Like I said before I'm just a newbie and that's the way I understand it. Am I close?
it. Am I close?
