Newsletter toolkit vs Ezine toolkit

Good evening,
For the past couple of months, I've been entertaining the idea of formatting a newsletter or ezine via the net. My main problem is that i know non of the htlm language to use nor do i fully understand Adobe PDFs with 5-Min PDF Creator. If i invest in one of the above products will it be simple to learn about PIF's.
My next question is: Since innovative ideas are costantly changing on the net..which format would be best. As a newbie going with an ezine or a newsletter. Can one sell advertising space on either format and will the program assist in this area?
If any follow affiliate has used any of the above products I would greatly appeicate your critic of the products.
I do apologize, for the rather long question.
