How To Forum
Yes, but ...

A bunch of issues:
* The public is fit to be tied over spam.
* The Internet service providers were given the authority under the Can-Spam Act to set their own policies in declining to receive, transmit, etc. messages.
* To reduce customer complaints, the service providers have taken steps to reduce the volume of spam reaching the user's e-mail box through the use of gateway filters.
(Microsoft is leading the parade on this one.)
* With the DMA now saying CSA compliant unsolicited commercial e-mail is not spam, (which is nonsense) the public is not inclined to listen to the concerns of senders of solicited commercial e-mailer about filters.
* For this reason, although I appreciate we are upset, angry, concerned and frustrated, as long as the DMA is saying CSA compliant UCE is ok ... and no one with stature is saying ... nonsense ... apart from the anti-spam crowd ... as the saying goes in politics "perception is reality."
