If it is for a Google Adwords campaign - save your cash by doing it yourself. Easy huh.
Why would you pay someone to simply choose a few choice keywords on your behalf - especially since there are tools available to help you out. Google has a tool built in.
SEO firms offer similar services "We'll mess about with your already good keywords and charge you £800 for 30 mins work"
"It's a service Sir - but as you know nothing about web design, we'll just blind you with science to rip you off Sir"
I hate sites/pitches like these. If it's not obvious what their selling, and they want to charge £10K - I'd steer clear.
Of course it might not be an SEO service. But you don't know that yet do you?
