I'm just not the PC kind of guy to go for that sort of thing. If you have a point, and you're sufficiently passionate about it, you'd go the extra distance to support your claim. There's more to support the point I've made than there is for yours but you're comfortably willing to "agree to disagree", so why did you enter in the first place?
Let me put it this way.... since people ACT on emotion and then RATIONALIZE afterwards, I won't ask you to share the answer to this next question publicly because there's no telling how self-honest you can be. But for your own consideration, go back and HONESTLY, just between you and yourself and noone else, recall just exactly how much went into your "choice" to be a part of this thread where you have nothing other than your own insistence to support your theory -- and therefore must settle for "let's agree to disagree."?
What went into that choice? How will you now rationalize it, when it was almost certainly an emotional reaction?
I'm here to discuss and even debate about key marketing concepts -- not only for myself, but for anyone who really wants not to just make money but to actually SEE and DISCOVER which of the techniques and tactics we see every day are based on greed and which are based on a sincere wish to be of service.
You entered to say you believe people have a choice. I gave examples of successful marketers who, without hesitation, publicly announce that "whip out your credit card" marketing is based on people having no choice. Yet you just restate your belief like a tape recorder.
So if you want to agree to disagree, you'll have to do it yourself and leave the "let us..." out of it. That's a monster of your own creation.
By the way, I started a thread titled, "The Thread Noone Wants to Read", check it out sometime.
Regards,
Sam
