Yep. Both **very** bright people, and both seemingly desperate for external validation.

What's interesting is the way some people find validation in negation. More precisely, how they convince themselves that anyone disagreeing with them for whom they can rationalise a "personal interest" is proving their point.

Logic fails. But I'll bet they'd still be fun to sit down for a beer or two with...
