I don’t think you can go wrong with acquiring more knowledge from various marketing sources. Knowledge is INVESTMENT!
Having said that, I probably did buy more ebooks/books than I really need in the past. While some books seemed like regurgitation of the information written by other “gurus” in the past, it sort of helped refreshing my memory on some of the marketing tactics that I had forgotten about. And even if the overall impression of the book didn’t seem original, I found that there was at least one or two new marketing ideas in those books.
Some of the marketing ebooks that I found useful were :
-Make Your Site Sell – Ken Evoy
-Confidential Internet Intelligence Manuscript – Mark Joyner
-Idea Virus – Seth Godin
-Psychological Triggers – Joe SugarmanMore recently (like today) I read a new marketing ebook (actually just a sample 65 pages of it) called “Under Oath” (There is a link for a sample of this book at Warriors forum) which I thought was very good and which I will buy.
I subscribe to a lot of ezines and a few marketing coach programs (one that I started liking recently is Guerilla Marketing Bombshells – they had some customer support issues at the beginning and so I almost *quit* but decided to stay on for at least 6 months – and they have come to be very useful. They seem to have dealt with their customer support issues as well with their 24 hour support desk – as you know customer service is EVERYTHING in the internet marketing world!)
People pay thousands of dollars getting college education, so why not spend a few hundred (or more if you like) on getting some marketing education?
