Ok ok, I've heard of the names, but when you surf a lot, you'll come across the names sooner or later. But that does not mean these guys are expert at anything.
When I studied Marketing and Sales, we as students actually 'study' the techniques involved, and we know what the techniques will do and exactly how effective each is. But I'm not disputing that the Tony Blakes of this world, aren't successful (they've done well to get the interest they have), I'm saying they are sales people - more than Advertisers or copywriters. As that does stand out about them. Obviously, they are targeting the types that will believe the basics, and consider the basics to be Marketing in it's entirity - and that must involve deception at some point.
These people are gullible!
Generally speaking people are very gullible, they think they will get something amazing for $100 when in actual fact all they get is something full of basics.
The problem is that the basics will only get them minimal results. Yet you can bet your life that the sales pitch they've just read has been designed to promise so much more. And that's where the deception comes into play.
But most on here know where I stand on this, so we'll leave it at that okay.
