Is this how you get the point across on these two places - you didn't do it anywhere else. Is this supposed to bring up some emotion in me?I wasn't actually trying to sound "authoritarian" - I was using the proper terminology. As I have never said publicly what my degree is in - just that I am a University Gradutate - it could well be in psyhcology - or at least in part. For all a reader knows I sound like a pyschologist in this one part - maybe because I am one, or qualified as one? Either way, I am not associating the title to anything or claiming that gives me my authority. Just using the proper terminology. If that amkes me sound like someone who knows what I'm talking about, it's because am. But that wasn't what I was trying to do.

Therefore actually taking away their authority, as it were? Give the impression you are "older and wiser" and talking down to "childen"? Is that how you see yourself or how you want people reading this to percieve you? Makes sense a lot of this would be about image - how a reader or viewer reads you. Almost like poitics - appealing to a mass of people rather than a specific individual - although it's written to appear that way?
I'm not insulted by either of these as you don't know me personally so can't make personal comments. It just seems a bit unnecessary to be so condesending, unless that is the point?
