Hiya there Mel,

I work full time from my own home for 6 years and previous to this, I did it part time while working outside the home as well.

I would say that at times, I feel very isolated being surrounded by nothing but four walls and no additional bodies to talk with.

To overcome this problem, I try to schedule weekly visits to my clients which in turn provides me with enough interaction that I don't go totally *nuts* being so alone in my office.

If it turns out I can't schedule a weekly appointment with a client, I make it a point to take lunch outside the home office, or walk around the block at lunch to break up the monotony of daily routine.

I find all these different ideas help me to smooth the rough edges one experiences working solo from home. ;-)
