Hi Tim,
Thanks for this really informative response! My comments are at the end.

It sure does.
I don't know about "search engine spam" but these programs strike me as resembling the biology of a benign tumor -- massive replication then a stop, and just a lump hanging out. Yucky, but hard to refute! ;-)
Personally, I would never recommend or use one of these for an important website UNLESS it was a MIRROR site. I'm not sure if the SE's are smart enough to detect mirror sites based on content comparisons but I doubt it. I was thinking of it in terms of sites that are easy to replicate such as "clickbank mall"-type operations or things like www.downlinemall.com I'm not even saying those *specifically* but ventures like those....easy to replicate so it doesn't matter if they are banned by the search engines eventually.
The site the pages point to wouldn't even have to be the main attraction, but rather the Google Adsense on each of those directory/hurricane pages would ideally bring in a lot of revenue -- plus the links to Amazon. So I'm just experimenting with ideas rather than trying to get the search engines or the adoring public to fall in love with a particular page that is stuck at a particular location. ;-)
I'll go take a look at your reports and thanks again. Just what the doctor ordered... ;-)
