Thank you, too, Andy. I almost feel as if I have one of those red phones that goes directly to you. ;-)
I have more to read but I came across this on your site which had a great review by the way:
"The bottom line is - The best way to create long-lasting websites is to NOT try and trick the search engines, but to create quality content. If you can do that using one or more of these tools in a way which offers value to the visitor and doesn't leave huge footprints where lots of pages have been made, then you should be fine."
While I think that is the safest, long-term path, I believe it's better to have a "diversified portfolio". We hear terms like "Guerrila Marketing" etc, but is it just me whose really thinking like a citizen AND a guerrila? I was thinking in terms of lead generation campaigns, with monetized pages a la Hurricane. Or is this one of those things that everyone publicly frowns upon while they also do it privately -- like "moral congressman" visiting the whorehouse after work?
Do you think I'm barking up the wrong tree with this idea?
I'm interested in teaching people who know jack squat to get up to speed quickly WHILE they are working on their long-term content-rich adventures a la Sitesell, James Martell and the like.
Thanks again for the informative review. I have to read it again as I'm running out, but it's very good.
Sam
