I need help - my boat is sinking !!

Hi all !
I'm pretty new to doing business on internet. In year 2000 I was scamed by many "get-rich-overnight opportunities", jumped in and after few days I saw that it just didn't work.
That was a year of trying out things which were "dead-wrong".OK, it was waste of time (and fortunately almost no money) but I learned that FREE stuff just do not work on internet. (free hosting, free domains, free advertising with banner exchange,
FFA's, submiting to 1000 milion search engines with ONE click, ..etc)In year 2001 I become more and more carefull and I got a good feeling about choosing next oportunity. I read a lot of articles, monitored this forum almost every day, read many autobiographic stories about major players in internet business, ...etc. My picture was getting more clearly.
But I just didn't BELIEVE what I read and I started to to find a "magic oportunity",
magic secrets to success on net, .. I was in a kind of "time pressure" almost panic. Two years are gone and I still didn't make any cent. I blindly search a shortcut to internet success - but I was runing in a circle with no exit.I learned if you just read all "this stuff" on internet EVERYDAY, you're becoming deadly unfocused, you run in a circle, you're becoming confused and panic and you JUST DON'T HAVE TIME TO DO SOMETHING. That's my story so far and I hate it !! :-((
You know "A journey of a tousand miles ALWAYS begins with a first steps" :-))
Yeah, I also bought "Sceince of getting rich - by Napoleon Hill", "Rich dad, pour dad - by
Robert Kiyosaki", "Millionaire next door" and "Richest man in Babylon".I see now, that maybe my problem was to start all this thing TOO ORGANISED, TOO COMPLICATED, .... :-(( I see that you must just take some RIGHT actions ....
Then I learned that you must JUST TAKE SOME ACTIONS and STAY FOCUSED. Just to follow ONE guru, study him and try to somehow duplicate his success. So I started to "choose" one guru. :-))
I purchased a few good e-books because somehow I learned that "in order to make money it just takes some money" (you must invest some money).
- Amazing formula by Marlon Sanders
- Mining Gold On The Internet by Shawn Casey
- 33 Days to Online Profits by Jim Edwards & Yanik Silver
- Gary Shawkey's Secrets by Gary Shawkey & Brian Garvin
- 3 Steps 2 Profit by Dustin Struckman
- The Silent Sales Machine by Jim Cockrum
- eBay Secrets by Jim Wilson
- Affiliate Masters Course by Ken Evoy
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E-books I want to buy:- Internet X-factor by Terry Dean
- eBook's Secrets Exposed by Jim Edwards
- Mini Site Profits by Phil WileyAll this e-books are great. I learned that the best way to succeed is to have your own hot
product (e-book), saleable web site and targeted traffic. It's quite a normal way. :-))I also learned that affiliate marketing or net auctions are great ways to just start in internet
business. And that's my focus now !!So, a few months ago I registered two domains, got my own web hosting (I'm web hosting reseller - because in my current work I work like webmaster since 1996), and NOW is time to choose ONE "battlefiled" to focus on (affiliate marketing or net auctions) and ONE guru to follow.
Like I said I read many e-books from different authors. So I get an "insight" to many pieces
of a "big-picture". But everyone miss some pieces out and have his special "point-of-view" .So I decided to follow and focus on a "guru" which can give me ALL that I need to success
on internet (through his e-books, subscription pages, newsletter, ....). I want to focus and
finally take some actions !!My favorites are: Terry Dean, Ken Evoy ("all-in-one") and Brian Garvin (affiliate marketing).
*********************************************************************************************************
So, dear fellow "Blake-masters" I'm asking you for some help.Is an approach to follow ONE guru and stay focused the right decision or not ?
Or must I take "an eggs from different bags" ? Who would you follow in "affiliate marketing" and who in "net auctions" ?
I'm sure you have some suggestions/critics for me.
I'm waiting for your honoured suggestions. Thank you.
Thank you very much for your time.
Best Regards,
Stan M.
P.S. Excuse my pour English. I know this post is written pretty confused - but so am I. ;)
