G'day Phillip,
Bite the bullet and go it alone, controlling your own web site will pay dividends in the long term. Front Page is OK, but If you want a more functional web builder with vector graphics and GIF animator at a cheap price try Web Editor 5 as it is professional software and very easy to use. www.namo.comSmartFTP is the easiest FTP client to upload web pages. Ctrl + L opens explorer on your computer, type in your server name, log in and password in the provided slots. It is uncomplicated and does not time out or change status. Download this free software from www.smartftp.com
Your ISP or Web Hosting administrator will help you upload your site and how to updated pages in the future. Once you have done it a couple of times, nothing could be easier.
Don't worry about making mistakes, the host site will still be there tomorrow for you to have another go. By doing all this yourself not only teaches you more about the Net, it puts you in minute by minute charge of your daily business affairs.
While a good businessman knows the necessity of delegating out work in a large organization, the small business owner/operator needs to delegate business management to himself, especially when it comes to controlling your web site, after all your site is your business. You will tend not to make important changes to your web site if relying on others, which costs time and money not to mention an inconvenience.
You need to be able to sit down at your desktop computer any time of the day and create a new page or make changes to your web site to work your business efficiently and effectively. By relying on others you may hesitate or not make a necessary change, which in the long run may slow sales or worse damage your business and possibly your reputation.
Don't be shy, just think back to what is was like dating your first girlfriend - nervous and a little awkward, but a few days later you are holding hands, running and jumping along a sandy beach.
Believe me uploading to servers and building intermediate or sales web sites by comparison to dating is a snap, maybe not as enjoyable though.
Good luck which your endeavours...Rod
