Paul, I think B2 is probably b2Evolution, not sure.

I'm not familiar with it, sorry. Try a search on Google for "B2" and see what you can find.

I use WordPress... others to consider are Serendipity, Moveable Type, TypePad, Blosxom and Blogger.

They all probably have their pro's and Cons, but if you can get access to WordPress vis your server, get that one. You can alway's change later.

With all these Blog softwares you will need to set up an SQL database on your server. Any decent hosting account will give you at least one, and of course you can buy more. My hosting account has 7 free SQL databases included, I think.

I use WordPress because it was an automatic free download from my host. I literally had it running in a minute after downloading, and downloading tokk about 30 seconds.
