JL,
During the month of December, I offered current subscribers to my newsletter, Money Basics, two free reports as a thank you for being loyal readers of personal finance tips, tricks and treats.
What made me think about doing sucha thing was that I was fortunate enough to be asked by an ezine publisher to offer a free product through his special holiday site to new subscribers who joined my newsletter. Thanks to this promotion, my subscrition list grew 860%.
I am trying to figure out how this publisher did what he did so I can join others in offering something special for St. Patricks Day, or May Day or some such. Keep in mind though, that if you offer some incentive to get new business, you will want to offer the a similiar incentive to current business to keep them from saying "Hey, what about me? I've been with you for a long time."
I believe consumers are fickle people only out to get the most they can for themselves.Roger Sorensen
