Thomas and Chris,
You are BOTH correct, so stop calling each other names and face facts.
1) Affiliates CAN & DO make money when they do the work.
2) Having your own product will earn you more money if you do the work.
Those are facts.
Yes it takes money to build your own product and if you do not have the money to start with then you should become an affiliate and earn it.
But as soon as you have the money you should get your own product and affiliates.
I do not care how much the top affiliates are earning, with the own product they would be earning more.
Why?
Lets assume that it is two tier paying 40% and 20% that leaves the owner with a minimum of 40% on the 2nd level or lower making a sale but 60% if the 1st level make a sale.
Now if the top affiliate is a top affiliate because of their own sales then instead of getting 40% they would get 100% if the product was theirs that they was selling.
If the top affiliate is a top affiliate because they have built a very good network, then if the network was selling their product they would be making 60% instead of the 40% and 40% instead of the 20% PLUS they would also be earning 40% on ALL the lower levels instead of nothing.
Those are the facts, yes the % will change from program to program but the facts will remain the same.
I also agree with Thomas that not all business people get rich, some barely keep their head above water and do not care about getting rich, what they do care about is that they are doing what they want to do instead of doing what someone else wants them to do, OR doing something they dislike.
Instead of wasting so much time just arguing, try to spend more time on working together.
If everybody did the same things the same way it would be a boring world.
