Okay, First and foremost...
We're ALL online to make money, are we not? And if you have noticed that these "gurus" that you are speaking of (believe me I know who)are:
#1: As tight as bandits
#2: Most DO promote each others' products
#3: And I VERY seriously doubt that they have thoroughly reviewed each one.Obviously they wouldn't give their partner a bad review, because that would be unethical, and they would lose their next "expert" opinion on their new product.
Most newsletters that I have seen usually promote a new product once or twice a week. I seriously doubt that they read that much material or test drive that many software products.
It's all about the money. That's what the newsletter and affiliate programs are for. No one can tell me that the reason they are doing business online is for personal fulfillment 1st and money 2nd.
Most of us are here for the incredible money making opportunity that the internet has provided. At least that was were it started for most.
I'll admit that I have tried just about every money making program out there and was severely dissapointed with every one. I was probably about ready to call it quits until I learned about a young man named Yanik Silver who had literally taken the internet by storm in less than a year online.
That sparked a new interest as I realized that there were still opportunities left for those who were smart enough to CREATE them for themselves!
That is all it took to get my own creative juices flowing! I'm proud to say that since that day I haven't purchased an ebook on the "greatest money making tactics... blah blah"
I've instead turned my focus to the true pioneers of direct sales. We all know that it's basically the same methods, just a different medium. Masters of the art of copywriting such as Ted Nicholas, Dan Kennedy, Joe Sugarman, Joe Vitale, and Claude Hopkins.
The secret lies in writing a killer direct salesletter for your OWN product or website.
My attention has turned directly to copywriting 1st, promotion 2nd.
After all, what good are visitors if no one buys?
Promotion is simple.
Dedication is key.
Why ride on the shirt-tail of someone else? Blaze your own path!
Bets of success,
Larry Sheckell
