> full version or the upgrade?If you have an upgrade version then it is going to look for the "old" version (Win95?) that you are upgrading from. If it can't find it then it will stop and tell you that.
At that point, if you are installing to a clean hard drive, then you can usually put the "old" disk or cd into the drive and it will examine that and then let you proceed with a clean install.
Read the instructions and find out for sure. Either way if you have an upgrade version you need the original program or program disks (Win95) to do it legally.
