Rebekah,
I've read (and enjoyed) your posts here and in other places, but I honestly believe that you're wrong about this one.
Forgive and forget is one thing, but when Neil Shearing claimed that Stephan Dumarche's book was "exceptional" and that it was a "must-have internet marketing book" ...
... without even reading the thing, then surely "forgive and forget" goes out the window?
I'm easy about someone making a genuine mistake, but that wasn't what happened here. He misled his readers for his own gain, so forgive maybe, but many of his readers will always remember his blatant lack of respect for them.
Neil has paid the price - Dumarche has since become known as a complete fraudster, with almost a 70% return rate on his book (WorldPay's words, not mine) and those are the lucky ones who managed to get a refund.
If Neil Shearing had actually *read* the book - and not just claimed it was the best thing since sliced bread - he would have known that too.
Best,
Dave
