Stumbled across the debate between Ezine Announcer and Newsletter Promote.
I've tried both and have just started getting to grips with Ezine Announcer. Newsletter Promote is very simple - too simple really - and although it had some effect on subscriber figures - I felt it was too limited for what I had in mind. Also Paul Knapp only offers refunds after three months - and was quite cavalier about it. I think that his customer service is poor.
I've noticed that Paul Knapp is updating NP (available next week) so that it is more extensive - but I'm not rushing to get hold of it. But it does mean that he's currently selling the old NP for $10.
Ezine Announcer is much more extensive. Apparently I can send articles, personalise cover letters and so on - but I've just spent two hours sending stuff out individually.
I'm sure it's not meant to be like this - maybe I'm just different :.) - so if anyone can tell me how to send articles out at one go, personalise letter to editors, use it as a database, see recent submissions, past submissions, then let me know - the manual isn't very user friendly for me and I'm not making the most of what EA has to offer.
