Demographics and Internet Marketing *LINK*

Hi,
A question related to demographics and selling of Internet marketing products. Do you focus on which gender is buying your product and cater to them with your sales letter?
For example 81% of the people that have purchased my ebook have been male. 70% that have signed up to my mini-series are male.
Are these typical percentages where there are more males signing up or buying Internet marketing products than females?
Internet marketing products should be non-gender specific, right? But should anyone be concerned about catering to one gender or another? Am I losing sales to females because of my sales copy?
I've heard that women generally control (or have heavy influence over) the buying decisions. Let's see...if I remember correctly...yep that's right, I came to that conclusion after buying some things without my wife's input.
Is that true with buying Internet marketing products that women influence those type of purchases?
Obviously I don't care who is buying as long as they are buying. I was just curious if I might be losing sales to one gender or another based upon sales copy and whether I should do something about it.
Anyone else dealt with this issue for non-gender specific products? Any opinions out there?
Thanks,
Rick Adams
e?
