Hi Chris,
No it's usually that I'm already an affiliate of whoever and have permission to buy through an affiliate link. Some people do allow you to do that, if you're a serious online marketer. Michael Green encourages it for "proper" affiliates for example.
Anyway, it's easy to go an purchase through your own affiliate link, only to find out afterwards that you never received the credit for the sale!
This happens because CB run the cookies and sometimes remember the first person who ever referred you to the website, even though you are now a legitimate and hard working affiliate.
