Guru's are people, too. People forget things at the best of times and evade things at the worst of times.
Send him a postal note (great timing, it's the holidays anyway), reminding him of your deal.
Still no reply? Move on and be the better person (i.e. don't smear their names on every two-bit forum to "get even").
If being better doesn't cut it for you then remember that karma has a way of balancing everything out in the end.
