Xavier, keep this a secret... I want you to see my friends site. It is not in the IM niche at all and does terrific with traffic and community building. It belongs to Tim a.k.a Bassman (you'll know him from the DigitalPoint forums).

The site has been up since March of 2004 (new site) and flutters around the top 50,000 sites per Alexa ranking.

Tim will kill me if I told you this but he goes to other higher ranking forums and adds valuable posts that help with attracting more customers to his site. you can see some of them on DPreview.com (Alexa rank 333). Everybody wins!

Oddly enough, he started the site because he was interested in Digital photograpy and his passion has led him very quickly into the expert status on the subject. He didn't do it for the money! The money just followed his passion.
