First I want to thank everyone for all the great and informative posts on this thread. I have learned a lot.

I think Aweber's claim is simply based on testing their email list with Delivery Monitor. DeliveryMonitor.com will not take into account misspellings, mailboxes being full, user specific anti-spam filters, etc. This test only measures a list of about 116 email addresses at about 12 ISP's or so. I have been using it to track deliverability with two different autoresponder services. One was on my shared server with Autoresponse Plus / ThirdSphereHosting.com and one was with UltimateResponse.com.
So I'm sure the over deliverability may not be as high as 99.34% but I do believe it indicates that they are getting most of their emails through compared to the competition.
I'll be testing Aweber out myself in the coming days. I'll post back with my own test results.
