Hi Vinnie,
There's a few things to look at when choosing a download management system:
Firstly, do you want a hosted version (ie. it runs on someone elses website and you pay a monthly fee), or do you want one where you buy it and you upload it onto your own website and have complete control over it.
Secondly, what payment systems do you offer and what would you offer in the future?
DLGuard is software you put on your own website. It's written in PHP so you don't need to worry about setting up any PERL paths, or double checking if you're uploading in binary or ascii mode, etc. You just upload it like you do a normal webpage.
It supports: Paypal, ClickBank, WorldPay, 2Checkout, AlertPay, E-Gold, Ebay, PayDotCom, and even free products.
The download area is template based and therefore fully customisable - you can make it look exactly like your existing site.
It also has the added bonus of having a built in shopping cart and membership management system.
DLGuard is constantly having new features added, and feature-wise I still haven't seen another system that comes close to it...and thats the way we intend to keep it

cheers
Sam
