Hi,
I find the spam issue confusing - but not for the obvious reason.
I get about 50-60 emails a day and most days I get no spam. I probably get 1 piece every 2-3 weeks.
I report each and every incident back to the abuse people on the network that sent it.
I'm in 20 yahoo groups and some smart groups and I get a lot of different newsletters. And am on line for hours a day - for the last 2 years.
So what is making the difference ?
Not that I want spam - but since it causes so much difficulty to so many people one way to tackle it might be to ensure that spammers can't pick up your email address.
What am I missing?
The only reason I am raising this as an alternative thought is that the anti spamming brigade e.g. Habeaus corpus and the big ISP are going to take matters into their own hands - and with that kind of involvement I'll probably get none of my real mail and all of the spammers.
So, how can you stop the spammers getting hold of your email address?
