Stephen,
Thanks for posting your concerns below. I know that you and I have tried to crack the problem for a long time now.
As other posters have indicated it's not a general problem as far as I can tell, but something specific to your installation. I use the exact same system and very rarely get someone who tells me that they didn't receive the autoresponder message.
The most likely explanation that I can think of is that the sendmail isn't working properly for you, but why I absolutely cannot fathom out. After all it works for everyone else, including my own use.
The fact that you say that some of your customers do receive the message makes it all the more mysterious!
For the interest of others, as a backup mechanism Easy-Download Protector can also automatically subscribe users to their own autoresponder which could respond with the download area.
In addition the download area with Easy-Download Protector is not a secret. So for example I protect my Easy Ezine Toolkit product with Easy-Download Protector and the download area is http://www.EasyEzineToolkit.com/toolkit but knowing that won't give you access unless you have bought a password -- give it a try. So there's no harm in being very explciit with people about where the download area is BEFORE, DURING and AFTER they purchase!
Kind regards
