Research on setting up FORUMS...

Hi All,

I'm currently creating a new product called: "HOW TO START A FORUM" and - as the name suggests - it's all about the steps that anyone would need to undertake to build a successful discussion board or forum of their own.

It's based on my own research prior to starting my "How To" forum, as well as my experience in actually running this growing discussion board.

So far I've researched and visited over 500 forums - covering every subject under the sun - just to gather a picture of what makes a strong forum work so well. Which software, the kind of moderation, the forum’s reputation, etc, etc.

So my "HOW TO START A FORUM" will be a handy guide for anyone who is thinking of setting up their own discussion board covering absolutely any subject, but my question to you is...

...has anyone come across a similar guide to the one that I’m creating before? I recall looking for something like this before starting my own forum, but instead I ended up doing it the hard way with all my own research and investigation.

So I'm curious to know if there's anything else out there along the lines of the toolkit that I'm producing?

Thanks,
Michael Green
