Interesting article, though my idea was not to buy any lists as I have never and will never buy leads for email purposes...though direct mail it a totally different animal.
The idea I have here is for a compilation of multiple ezines....look at any magazine on a newsrack...different writers contributing, at least one editor editing.... I know my email is full of ezine email...so much so that unfortunately if it doesn't have a catchy title or capture me with a great opening line..it gets deleted. It's not that I don't want to read all of them, but that I can't get enough work done and read all of them. I think consolidating multiple ezines into one publication with return links to full issues of each would solve this for many...one email to open, index right up top, click to the articles that interest you, other writers, better luck next issue. We could pitch this through our existing lists and advertise it as we would any other product. I'm still very interested in everyone's thought on this and any interest in jv for this are open for discussion public or private.
