How to Forum? Finally a post worth reading!!! ...or not?

Wow,
This is not an anti Mark, Mike, or FAP post... sorry to dissapoint you I wont be whining. In fact I am actually going to provide real training and step by step instructions in this post for those of you interested in learning.
But before I do that...
Hey, DID YOU ALSO GET the smackdown that came out after Jim Edwards ripped on FAP???
He had a smackdown completely dedicated to the ilk you see here in this forum. You know, whining and posting to forums just to complain but provide no real valuable input.
Oh and FYI Jim Edwards has a JV partner we all know named Joe Vitale. Joe Vitale is in Mark's Free Agent Path Mastermind group as well. I guess Jim and Joe can have differing opinions and still be friends? I hope so.
I personally like these guys. I find Jim, Joe, Mark, etc. (don't know Mike) to be nice and generally good people. I personally don't take ALL that they Teach as 100% certifiable but I have learned valuable lessons from each. Each of them has products for sale that I use and some that I don't use. Each shares some good stuff and some garbage. Hey I do to according to some people. I guess we just havn't found the "super guru" yet who has all the right ideas and gives them away for free. Oh and in my Book there is only one perfect person who walked this Earth :-)
Well, everybody needs to let off steam now and then so if the purpose of this forum is to do that I guess it is ok for us all to whine about how we failed in MLM because we were silly enough to not realize it is hard work to build a successful business using any model MLM included.
If you don't like it don't do it. It's that simple. Whining and calling people names who are involved in successfully building businesses is only a reflection on your own insecurities and hurt feelings. I don't blame people for being angry if they were truly deceaved but the sad truth is that a lot of people deceave themselves thinking they will get something for nothing.
It is obvious that many of you have gotten involved and failed in MLM in the past or else you wouldn't be ragging about it now. It is also obvious that some have purchase the MJFP and havn't put it to good use while others have. I guess that purchasing all that code we didn't know how to program and all those interviews that we weren't willing to listen to and take notes from in order to actuall apply it to our busiensses wasn't such a great idea. Oh well maybe we'll figure out that the guru never comes with the box and stop wasting our money on instructional materials and tools when we are not willing to do the work it takes to be successful.
It is obvious that many of us have gotten involved and experienced a fair amount of success other wise we would not be supporting it in our posts.
Although it is refreshing to see so many pro's in this forum (names I recognize) I think that there should be two seperate forums for the posts here... maybe three. You could call them How to, How not to, and Garbage.
For those that aren't interested in internet marketing or network marketing or marketing in general... just ignore this message and you will probably go on having a good or bad day.
For those of you who are interested I wish to lay out some HOW TO steps for Network marketing:
1. Pros use qualified unshared (or close) fresh leads not the warm market. Your warm market will come to you when they see your success and ask you what you are doing (we don't invite our friends, realatives, and business associates who have not expressed an interest in our business endeavors).
2. Pros call prospects on the phone because it is near impossible to build a relationship over the internet (yes network marketing is relationship marketing that is why so many people are hurt when the upline fails to provide support and training necessary to succeed). I recieved a personal phone call from Robet Allen's (Multiple streams of income) Network Marketing Business Partner today, Dan Brink, he was the #2 and #3 sponsor in USANA 2001-2002 and 2002 - 2003. He called personally to discuss me joining thier organization. This man has an organization of over 10,000 and he still calls his leads personally.
3. Pros use scripts or internalized principals to qualify the leads:
"Are you serious or just curious about earning that extra $xxx a month you said you need?"
"We are teaching the protocals, methodolodies, technologies, and techniques used by the most successful home based entrepreneurs in the world."
"If I could show you a way in which you could pay your two largest monthly expences without touching your primary income would that be worth 45 minutes of your time to have a serious discussion about making serious money?"
"Here is what I would like to do for you we need to schedule 45 minutes for that serious discussion in which you will have no distractions or interuptions. Is that time now or do we need to make an appointment?"
"We are going to be presenting an overview of our system tonight at 4pm or 10pm which of those times is best for you?"
4. Pros are appointment setters and never give a one on one business overview or do a three way call whith there upline (if at all avoidable). It is important that we understand this principal because it will save us hundreds of wasted conversations with the curious and unserious. What you do is qualify the prospect and set an appointment for a pre seceduled business overview. You will spend 45 second to 2 minutes with each lead and qualify them or disqualify them. Then you arrange for them to call in to the live closing call (conference call) or business overview. If they tell you that they have 45 minutes and now is a good time then you can take them to a prerecorded call.
5. Pros use a simple temperature close or the ABC close.
Temperature: "So ___, that was a great call! On a scale of 1 - 10 how would you rate it, 1 being the very worst presentation you ever heard and 10 being the best?"
"It was an 8"
"Well ___, what would it take you and me working together to push that 8 to a ten so that we could become marketing partners?"
A,B,C: "____, there are basically three types of people that go to this overview. There is an A type a B type and a C type of person. The A type of person likes what they here and wants to get started right away. The good news is that if you are an A type of person we can become marketing partners in less than 24 hours. The B type of person also likes what they here but has a couple of questions that need to get answered before they can get started. The good news is given that I can answer those questions to your satisfaction we can also be marketing partners in less than 24 hours. The C type of person, for whatever reason, either they can't do it, won't do it, it's just not their cup of tea. Now ___, your a person of integrity right? Well ___, all I ask is that if you find your a C type of person will you call me back and tell me why? I am doing a little market research for my own edification, fare enough?
6. Pros ask for the Sale.
"Let's start your training right now. I will help you through the sign up process as you will be doing a lot of this."
"How would you like to take care of this."
7. Pros discover the concern instead of ignoring it.
"I see you have a couple of questions. Will you share them with me?"
8. Pros learn how to discover smoke screens.
"So your real concern is ____ correct?"
"If I can answer _____ to your satisfaction is their any reason that we cannot become marketing partners today?"
9. Pros know when to move on. This one should be obvious. Your job is to find the serious from the curious.
10. Pros provide training in mastermind groups. They brainstorm with their team members who contribute as equal partners (this is what the top producers do behind the scenes when they are not giving closing call presentations and motivational speaches). The mastermind is a principal used for centuries in politics, religious organizations, and most recently network marketing.
11. Pros know it usuall takes more capital to get started than originally estimated. Ie Product, Leads, Training materials, Conference lines, recording devices, fax machine, phone service, high speed internet, computer, dog food etc.
12. Pros know that Beta means Beta and that if you are in the early stages of any company you are along for the bumps as well as the beautiful vistas.
13. Pros know that ROI creating a profit doesn't usually happen overnight, in one week, one month, or even the first year in some ventures (many successful businesses operate at a loss for the first year or two but in network marketing your expenses are usually minimized especially if you are only a disributer).
14. Pros make a minimum of one hundred successful phone calls a week (meaning you actually talked to a prospect). This means that you need to have a minimum of 500 leads in front of you at all times (preferrably 1000). This can be achieved in just two hours a day 5 days a week easily.
15. Pros never give up they only try harder. Yoda once said "Try not, DO!" "There is not try, only DO or DO NOT!"
16. Pros never count on spill over they create it.
17. Pros train you to train the trainers. It goes without saying that no one person can provide all the personal support and training necessary to teach an organization over 100 people. That is the purpose of masterminds. You train the trainers and they train their trainers and so on.
18. Pros hang with other pros recognize a pro when they meet one and surround themselves with positive and successful people. They sometimes find thier best future JV partners in opportunites in which they worked together and recognized eachothers potential and compimentary talents.
19. Pros... Well... Pros are just amatures who grew up and learned from their mistakes.
And hey not all pros spell perfectly but hey you get the idea right?
Sincerely,
Josh Anderson
P.S. Hope I didn't offend anyone... but hey if I did... bash away you will only illustrate my point :-)
