Kunle:
First of all, I'd divide that money up and certainly not look to use it all at once....try advertising in e-zines. Consider the e-zines you read...I mean actually READ. I subscribe to a bunch and delete most unopened. Most people are like that.
Do those you READ accept advertising? Can you get an ad for $40 or less? Give it a try....with a classified. I've never tried solo ads. To my mind it's too easy to hit the DELETE key when I see SOLO AD...which is what I do. That's just my opinion...I could be wrong....never actually tested it...anyone have experience with solo ads?
I've never had any luck with the big networks of ezines. Best luck I've had is with good quality e-zines with responsive owners whose subscribers love them.
I have 3 or 4 ezines that make me money every time I advertise in them. I've spent a lot of money finding them but now I can know with relative certainty that the $30 or $40 I spend is going to give me an decent return.
Once you find a few ezines that work and your salesletter is pulling then you can approach these owners who like you (since you've spent a lot of money with them) and ask them to place your ads with an affiliate link....they make half the money but you haven't risked anything.
October has been a particularly busy month for me OFFLINE so I haven't had much time to devote to my Internet Marketing. I spent a total of $30 in for two ads in a weekly e-zine, yet have sold an AVERAGE of 2-3 e-books per DAY (none today yet, of course!)...some with affiliate links and some generated by me.
This isn't necessarily a quick process but it will pay off if you persevere. So the short answer to your question is divide the money into smaller bites and try e-zine advertising.
Good luck!
