I disagree a bit with this statement.

Marketing products that cost $1000 is very different from marketing those that cost $100. Different look, different target, different approach. It's true that one can sell a thousand dollar product to a general list, but high dollar buyers are a different breed of cat.

Otherwise, your observation is right on. Go for the higher dollars.
